A YOGA COMMONS PRACTICE INTENSIVE
Santo Estêvão, Portugal
September 26-October 2, 2027
Six Days. One Focus. Your Practice.
This special practice intensive is designed for practitioners who are ready to dive deep into their personal practice, regardless of where that practice is right now.
For six days, the Portuguese countryside becomes your container. A space to slow down, step out of your routine, and study your own practice with fresh eyes. Forty kilometers outside Lisbon, tucked into the Ribatejo plains, Terra Quinta is the kind of place that slows you down in the best possible way. And that's exactly the point.
When the pace of life slows down, you can begin to make conscious choices about how you're building your practice. Not only in the asana, but in the subtler layers beneath it and in how all of it translates into the way you move through everyday life.
Each morning you'll come to your mat for Mysore-style practice, alternating between Ashtanga Vinyasa and Dharma Yoga. Two practices that complement and illuminate each other, offering different lenses through which to explore your yoga practice. Each afternoon deepens the inquiry, through workshops on asana, breath, and yoga philosophy, through working with ceramics as a meditation on patience and presence, and through tending the quinta's garden as a reminder that growth is always a slow and steady practice.
Jen and Michelle will be with you every step of the way, guiding your personal practice, answering your questions, and supporting you in taking your yoga somewhere new. And so will the small group of kindred spirits who make the journey with you.
This intensive is intentionally small. Spots are limited. We hope you'll join us.
Location
Terra Quinta is a working quinta in the Ribatejo plains of Portugal, 40 kilometers outside Lisbon. Built largely by hand by two French designers who left Paris to create something rooted in nature, craft, and art, it is a place that feels genuinely made — warm, unpretentious, and alive in a way that purpose-built retreat centers rarely are.
The yoga shala is a dedicated indoor practice space with high ceilings and natural light. There is an outdoor practice area under a pergola, a Japanese garden, a saltwater pool, a ceramics studio, a working garden and orchard, and more land than you'll cover in a week. The food is vegetarian, prepared fresh daily. There is no wifi.
Forty kilometers from Lisbon but a world away from it.

Please book your flights to arrive at Lisbon Airport (LIS) on Sunday, September 26, 2027. Lisbon is well connected from most major US and European hubs, with many direct and one-stop options available. We will arrange a group transfer departing the airport at 3:00pm — please plan your flights to arrive no later than 1:30pm to allow time to clear customs and collect your luggage.
On departure day, Saturday October 2nd, checkout is at 11:00am. Please book your flights no earlier than 2:00pm to allow time for the group transfer back to the airport.
If you prefer to arrange your own transportation or your travel plans fall outside these windows, Terra Quinta is approximately €45 by Uber from the airport.
Accommodations
During the intensive, you'll stay in one of Terra Quinta's beautifully restored rooms, spread across two buildings designed and furnished by hand by the owners using locally made Portuguese pieces. Each room has air conditioning and en suite facilities. The aesthetic is warm, simple, and thoughtful. Exactly the kind of space that lets you rest deeply and wake up ready to practice.
We have reserved the entire venue exclusively for our group.
